Martin Cheadle
BA (Econ) ACA

Martin started the practice 25 years ago in 1984.

After studying for a degree in Economics and Accountancy at Manchester University, he then trained and qualified with one of the large national firms of accountants in Birmingham qualifying as a Chartered Accountants in 1977. Soon after qualifying he left to work in the commercial world. He led the finance department of a group of companies in the construction industry whose business was rapidly expanding, eventually becoming Finance Director of the group. He returned to the accountancy profession in 1984, where he set about building his own practice based on sound practical business advice. Martin has a considerable amount of experience in the field of Business advice as well as a depth of knowledge in taxation matters affecting small to medium sized businesses. He prides himself on knowing all his clients and having a considerable understanding as to how all their businesses work.

Alistair Peake
BA (Hons) FCCA

Alistair joined the practice in 1996 after graduating from Wolverhampton University with a Business Studies honours degree. He qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2000 and has been managing his own portfolio of clients since 2003, becoming a Partner in January 2009. He has a very good knowledge on technical accounting issues for small to medium sized businesses, corporate taxation issues, IT and business development. Alistair is a helpful, approachable and highly motivated professional. He believes in offering real value and benefits, balancing the cost of advice to clients with the benefits they receive.

Vikki Miles
BSc (Hons) ACCA

Graduating from the University of Leeds with an honours degree, Vikki completed her training in 2006, qualifying as a Chartered Certified Accountant. She has particular expertise in payroll, CIS and VAT matters as well as all aspects of the sole trader, partnership accounts, limited company accounts and the tax issues thereon.

Sarah Clews
FCCA

Sarah joined the firm as a client manager in 2009 after gaining ten years experience in a large practice, working on a varied portfolio of clients. During this time, she qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2001. Sarah prides herself with offering practical advice to small owner managed businesses, and strives to provide a full, friendly, efficient compliance service.

In addition, the firm also has a Trainee Accountant Edith, Charlotte, our Payroll Clerk, Wendy who prepares the tax returns and Practise Secretary, Ruth Finister - who all play a vital and important role in the smooth-running of this friendly and professional firm.
